Midnight Parade Of Cirque de Chine

Cirque de Chine participated in the 2008 Gatlinburg 4th of July Midnight Parade.  It is the first Independence Day parade in the nation every year since 1978!  It has been recognized by the Southeast Tourism Society, the Middle East Tennessee Tourism Council, the American Bus Association, and the International Festival and Events Association for the quality of every aspect of the parade.

The parade started at Home Federal on Hwy 321 and ended at traffic light #10 on Parkway.  This year’s theme is “Only in America,” which attracted more than 100,000 onlookers.  Cirque de Chine decorated the float with red, white, and blue, and also with the famous Statue of Liberty to show their patriotism for America.

Throughout the entire parade, the performers of Cirque de Chine entertained the audience with different acrobatic skills with much enthusiasm.  The audience responded positively with warm screams and shouts.  The night successfully ended with a memorable way to celebrate America’s birthday.
