The annual opening ceremony and VIP Night of Cirque de Chine welcomed almost 1,200 people and media reporters to the night show at the Smoky Mountain Palace on Thursday, Jun 5.It was a dinner show. All the guests here had a chance to enjoy traditional Chinese dinner with six dishes and desserts including the most popular Chinese dessert, Chinese Donuts.
Undoubtedly, Chinese food seldom comes to Americans in the Somkies. All the guests had a great chance to fully enjoy the wonderfulness of traditional Chinese food and desserts. Over 1,000 guests filled the lobby sitting or standing everywhere, enjoying this grand exotic buffet banquet.
Scheduled for more than 2 months, VIP Night as well as the opening ceremony of Cirque de Chine was a great success which finally came out with gorgeous comments.
It attracted people from all works of life. Cirque de Chine sent almost 1,000 invitations while 1,027 reservations had been received.
Before the show, President of Non Stop Creativity Corporation, Mr. Lizhi Zhao, addressed a welcome speech. He briefly described Cirque de Chine. Cirque de Chine is going to purchase Smoky Mountain Palace and to become a member of this community.
Officer of Tourism Bureau of Sevierville, Dave, with some officers of Chamber of Commerce attended the VIP Night. Dave even gave a speech that highly praised Cirque de Chine and welcomed this new company to Sevierville.
It is the second year for Non Stop Creativity Corporation to perform in the Smokies. This year, Chinese National Acrobatic Troupe (CNAT), one of the best national acrobatic troupes enjoying most reputations in China is invited to perform in Smoky Mountain Palace. CNAT is the first national art troupe established by the central government of China. Chinese Yo-Yo girls are the triple golden mental winners of international acrobatic competition. With the costume of HuaDan (Female Leader) in Chinese traditional opera, Chinese Yo-Yo girls turned over or danced with Yo-Yo. In the 15 minute intermission, guests filled the lobby and attempted to learn to play with Chinese Yo-Yo.
The most popular item is Flying Motorcycle. The whole theatre was flooded with scream, shout and applaud when the 5 flying motorcyclists were cycling in the big irony ball. People could not help standing up, shouting and applauding with the curtain call.
